Bolognese Sauce

Ingredients                      

500 grams minced beef                                                        1 large onion, finely diced

300 grams carrot, finely diced                                            5 tbsp  tomato paste

2 x 400 gram tinned diced tomatoes                                  3 tspn brown sugar

100 ml milk                                                                          Olive oil

Method
  1. Heat olive oil in heavy based pan and sauté onion and carrot, until softened.
  2. Add minced beef and brown well.
  3. Add tomato paste and stir until meat, carrots and onion mixture are well coated.
  4. Add tinned tomatoes, brown sugar and milk and simmer slowly until required.
